June
Find "June" in A Child's Calendar, a collection of twelve of John Updike's poems that describes a child's journey through the seasons from January through December (c. 1965). Caldecott award winning artist Trina Schart Hyman illustrated the collection (c. 1999).
I was thinking about this book the other day and wondering if you were going to post a poem for a new month! Thanks for sharing. Still looking for this book, guess I'll have to make a special order.
I continue to check it out of our local library. I too keep hoping to stumble across it at a used bookstore; no luck yet. I had no idea amazon wants $37!!! Looks like Barnes&Noble will take $15. I'll continue the monthly posts!
